Build a repeat-order list for motorsport consumables
Keep a clear record of consumable specifications, pack sizes and quantities to make repeat purchasing easier.
Record the specification as well as the name
Create a reference list with the exact SKU, required specification, pack size and usual quantity. Similar product names can describe different compounds, grades or pack contents. Keep the source of the approved specification attached to the line.
Count usable stock before reordering
Distinguish unopened stock from items already allocated to an event. Check storage and shelf-life information against the manufacturer’s instructions where applicable. A recorded quantity is not the same as a quantity ready for use.
Use previous purchases as a starting point
Reordering can save time, but check the current product, price, availability and quantity before confirming. If the vehicle, component or application has changed, check the specification again. Do not accept a replacement solely because it appears in the same category.
Plan around the next event
Assign the next purchase to a deadline and responsible team member. Keep workshop stock and event stock separate when that helps your team avoid double ordering. Review what was actually used after the event to make the next list more accurate.
